  1. Sandhini Poddar, Assistant Curator of Asian Art at the Guggeheim Museum and Yoko Shioya, Artistic Director of the Japan Society, moderate a panel discussion. Veggetti talks about how he first encountered Noh plays and how he uses elements of Noh plays in his choreography. Shioya explains the Noh art form. Veggetti discusses the influence of Noh theater on his dances; his creative process; how he uses the basic structure of Noh theatre; how he connects with the audience; educating the audience about Noh theatre; how he came to incorporate the music of Toshio Hosokawa; his use of instrumentation and lighting; the idea behind the work, Traces; and the differences between Noh and the Western ballet tradition.
