Summary
  1. Lisa Bielawa moderates a panel discussion with members of the Uakti Ensemble. Bielawa introduces the music of the Uakti Ensemble. Arturo, one of the members of the ensemble discusses how the group came together and how they began constructing their own instruments, for example, the aqualung. The ensemble performs traditional Amazonian music, a work by 20th century composer Heitor Villa-Lobos, and Aguas de Amazonia, a work by composer Philip Glass, especially created for the ensemble. Arturo then discusses how Uakti developed their repertoire and how they came to meet Philip Glass.
