Summary
  1. Todd Bolender, who created the Fox role in George Balanchine's Renard for the New York City Ballet in 1947, reconstructs this dance on his Kansas City Ballet company. In the two interview sections, he discusses the creation, movement quality, and costumes of Renard and the reaction to the music score, how he approached the music score for this reconstruction, how the audience reacted to his original performance and a comparison to Russian folklore.
