A day in the life (Act I) follows Boston Ballet's artistic director Bruce Marks for an entire day including a photo shoot with photographer Jack Mitchell, dinner with his three sons at their home in the South End, and three dance excerpts from the Discovery Festival by Susan Marshall (Overture), Kenneth Rinker (When the cat's away), and Jim Self with Frank Moore (Beehive).
  3. The big picture (Act II) includes the new direction for the Boston Ballet, the South End Community Dance Project, new ways of find raising with specific budget cuts needing to be made for the following season, and a dance excerpt ofJiri Kylian's Symphony in D.
  4. A world premiere (Act III) follows Bruce Marks and Bruce Wells during the creation of Tales of Hans Christian Anderson and the final day of the theater preparation and the dress rehearsal leading up to the world premiere performance and post performance party.
