- Summary
- Disc 1 (ca. 32 min.). Robin Howard speaks with Don McDonagh about working with Martha Graham, setting up a dance school in London; Graham's techniques for beginning dancers; not wanting to copy Graham; not being dependent on Graham, which made their relationship more cordial; Graham's encouragement in starting a dance company in London; Graham giving her blessing for the London company to use El penitente; the first time he saw Graham dance, in London in 1954; being impressed by the whole performance, and considering it life-transforming; writing to Graham after the performance, and inviting her and the company to dine with him; his friendship with Graham dancer, Robert Cohan; attendees of the party, from critics to ballet dancers; second time Graham toured in Europe, and the role he had in ensuring the company's performance.

Robin Howard continues to speak with Don McDonagh about Graham's second European tour; organizing a program with Graham whereby young British dancers were sent to train with her in New York, citing dancers Eileen Cropley, Anna Price, and Christian Holder; first performances of London dance company; grants, arts councils, and donors who supported the dance company in London; upcoming meeting whereby he will ask May O'Donnell to come to England and teach in his dance school [abrupt end].
