- Summary
- 15-year-old Chris Mills refuses to accept his parents' decision to divorce. He wants to protect his little sister and himself from the traumas of a broken home and feels that his parents have not tried hard enough to salvage their marriage. During a history class discussion on the Bill of Rights, Chris becomes convinced that he can file a lawsuit to prevent his parents' legal breakup. Enlisting the aid of Archie Corelli, an eccentric lawyer and part-time auto mechanic, Chris launches an unprecedented court action destined to change his family's life forever.
