Description
  1. 1 videocassette (26 min.) : sd., col.; 1/2 in.
Summary
  1. This trilogy of video work concerns themes of viewer passivity versus viewer control, the appropriation of media, mass hypnosis and humor. "In Line" (1986, 10 min.) confronts the sado-masochism of the TV viewer experience. In direct address, Conrad batters the audience with a parodic display of mind control. "An Immense Majority" (1987, 10 min.) contrasts an inert couch potato with the viewer's later ruminations on a more natural presentation of real life drama. "Ipso Facto" (1985, 8 min.) is a story of technology, appropriation and authority.
