- Summary
- After the defeat of American Armed Forces in Vietnam, many Indochinese who had fought for the southern regime or who had worked for the C.I.A., chose to emigrate to the United States. Arriving in America, sponsored refugees were sent to new communities. Others were interred in detention camps until a sponsor was found. This tape follows the fate of a representative group of refugees sent to the Pennsylvania area. Easily exploited due to differences in language and culture, most work for minimum wage and hope to spare their children the hardships and feelings of alienation they presently endure.
