- Summary
- Maya Angelou, author-playwright-singer-dancer-actress-reporter-songwriter, develops and demonstrates how black heritage has been preserved and assimilated into society. Through songs, dances, games, lectures, poetry and drama, Angelou outlines the revival of African culture in America. The programs explore the culture of black people with respect to distinctive facets of language, dress, cooking, family relationships, and recreation.
