On this editon of New Sounds, host John Schaefer features the music of Richard Vimal, whose electronic works contain echoes of Satie and other French masters; Pascal Comelade, who puts toy instruments to effective, atmospheric use; Michel Portal, who combines jazz and African or Near Eastern music; and several composers from Brittany, France's Celtic province; includes the radio debutof a new piece performed live in the studio by guitarist Dan Ar Bras.
