  1. Disc 1 (begins ca. 1:15 min. of track 1) and disc 2: Yeichi Nimura, John Paul (production manager), Ms. Morning (first name unidentified), Virginia Lee, Lisan Kay, and an unidentified male meet and discuss casting, choreography, and costumes for the musical comedy Lute song. The handwritten notes in the original container indicate that the recording was made on February 21, 1959.
  2. Discs 3-4: From track 1 of disc 3 to track 3 of disc 4, Ruth St. Denis, Yeichi Nimura, and Lisan Kay discuss their ideas and inspirations with respect to dance, in an informal setting. Tracks 4-12 of disc 4 are a recording of a film presentation by Ruth St. Denis at the Ballet Arts studio. The handwritten notes in the original container read: "Ruth St. Denis, her film presentation at Ballet Arts Studio, 120 people attend. July 25, 1959."
  3. The sound quality is good in discs 1-2. The sound quality is fair in discs 3-4.
