1. The five discs consist of four recordings made on separate occasions.
2. Disc 1 (track 1, ca. 1:55 min.) to disc 2 , in Japanese: Yeichi Nimura engages in a general conversation with Misao Ariga and Ted Uehara. Nimura talks about his memories of the city of Suwa and his experiences in Japan, Europe, and the United States. The handwritten notes in the original container read "Jan. 23, 1960. Mr. Misao Ariga and Mr. Ted Uehara (camera maker at Suwa city) (Crown Optical Co.) "
3. Disc 3 (track 1, ca. 2:30 min. to track 8, ca. 2:50 min.), in English: Yeichi Nimura, Richard Richie, and an unidentified male discuss opening a ballet school in Miami. Nimura makes suggestions for dance school administration. The handwritten notes in the original container read "Nov. 1959. R. Richie from Miami. I met him at Mr. -- (?) . We talked about dancing school. May built at Miami!!?"
4. Disc 3 (track 8, ca. 2:55 min.) to disc 4 (track 6, ca. 3:38 min.), in English: Yeichi Nimura, Lisan Kay, and Shinichi Nitta engage in an informal general conversation over dinner. The handwritten notes in the original container read "Dec. 20th, 1959. Shinichi Nitta, 17 years, son of man whom I met 8 years ago (he is Chinese.) He (Shinichi) came & visited me & I gave dinner party with Miss Kay."
5. Disc 4 (track 7) to disc 5, in Japanese: Yeichi Nimura engages in an informal general conversation with Yuzo Minobe regarding Shinichi Nitta's visit. The handwritten notes in the original container read "Dec. 29, 1959. Mr. Yuzo Minobe (NYK Captain of Saitama-maru) and myself, Kay. Captain is a friend of Nitta & his son Shinichi. We took to restaurant. Dinner."
