1. This recording consists of three sound discs, numbered 1, 3, and 4. The three discs consist of three recordings made on separate occasions. Disc 2 was withdrawn due to the nature of its contents.
2. Disc 1 (from ca. 1:00 min.), in Japanese: Yeichi Nimura engages in an informal, general conversation with Kiyozo Nakayama. It appears that Nimura was showing photographs of his family to Nakayama, and they spoke about the city Suwa and Nimura's family. The handwritten notes in the original container read "Jan. 11, 1962. Japanese singer Mme. Kiyozo Nakayama. Plays Shamisen well."
3. Disc 3 (track 2, ca. 1:00 min.) to disc 4 (track 9), in Japanese: Yeichi Nimura engages in conversation with Akiko Tachibana. Nimura makes telephone calls to Alexandra Danilova, Michiko Tanaka (a dancer), and others to make arrangements for Tachibana to meet them while she is in New York. Nimura and Tachibana talk about dance and Tachibana's owing money to Danilova. Nimura makes brief remarks about the Bolshoi Ballet, Takarazuka Kagekidan, Kabuki, and Kanna Ishii (a dancer). The handwritten notes in the original container read "June 27, 1962. Mme. Akiko Tachibana, real name, Akiko Fukuda, Ms. Asami Maki's mother. Talked for two hours then to Broadway (?)."
4. Disc 4 (from track 9), in English: Lisan Kay and Yeichi Nimura show their photographs to Kimiko Tanaka, and talk about the photographs. The recording date is unknown.
5. The sound quality is good in disc 1. The sound quality is fair in discs 3 and 4. Tachibana's voice is soft at times.
