- Playwright Neil Simon discusses his life, and some of the ways his personal relationships have influenced his work. He explains how he used actual experiences with his father, his first wife, and his daughters in his recent play Jake's women, and how he drew upon his professional life as a television comedy writer in the 1950s in his new play, Laughter on the 23rd floor. He also expresses his opinion of theater critic Frank Rich, and examines Rich's impact on the New York theater scene.
