Summary

1. Stephen Holt visits the Goodspeed Opera House in East Haddam, Connecticut. In the first segment, he interviews the managers and staff of the Bee and Thistle Inn, in the nearby town of Old Lyme. Then he speaks with actor Gary Jackson, who is playing Superman in Goodspeed's revival of the 1966 musical comedy It's a bird, it's a plane, it's Superman! Jackson discusses the challenges of playing the role, such as wearing the heavily padded costume, and flying over the audience in a harness.
