- Summary
- Leigh, a renowned British actress, speaks about her early years; her interest in acting; her education; various schools in different countries she attended (England, France, Italy and Germany); the importance of formal training in acting and diction; Method Acting; diverse roles she played (Scarlett O'Hara, Blanche DuBois, Lulu d'Arville); her attitude towards her profession; her way of practicing her parts; her daily routine during work, and explains a few aspects that make comedies much more difficult to act in than tragedies. She and the interviewers discuss Shaw's play "The doctor's dilemma" and the part she played in it as well as her "two Cleopatras" - Shaw's and Shakespeare's.
