Summary

1. Fleisher, a pianist from San-Francisco, speaks about his prominent teachers Pierre Monteux and Artur Schnabel (an accomplished pianist known for his Beethoven and Brahms interpretations) who had a great influence on him; the higher level and better standards of American musicians of that period taught by an influx of the top European musicians who fled from WWII; his professional engagements, and recounts his experience as a judge in the Queen Elisabeth Piano Competition of Belgium which he himself won in 1952. Fleisher and White discuss Brahms concerti and a few other musical works.
