- Summary
- Candid shots of Jamaican-born poet and teacher Hope McKay Virtue at an award presentation to receive the 1977 Order of Jamaica, given posthumously to her father poet Claude McKay, in Los Angeles, California, April 1978. The collection consists of a view of Virtue speaking during the award presentation; and two views showing Virtue with the Jamaican Ambassador to the United States, Alfred Rattray, who is presenting the award.
