- Summary
- Exhibition of Karina El Azem (b. Argentina 1970), artist of great originality, expressed through unusual techniques and materials, such as plastic beads, beads of glass, latex, blood, ammunition and cartridges shells. Cecilia Cavanagh, Director of the Pavilion and curator of the exhibition, writes: "the questions expressed by the artist are as deep as the complexity of materials and diversity of techniques used. Photographs, paintings, collages, assemblages, digital prints, have fundamentally as popular theme the myths and symbols, the beautification of the everyday, and the penetrating and prevailing violence, within an identity that we recognize as Argentinean."
