Summary
  1. Part 1 (00-30:00 minutes). Leida Snow interviews American singer-songwriter and musician Roberta Flack. Flack talks about her professional background and career that she switched from classical singer to blues, folk, pop and jazz singer. She also talks about the release of her new album Blue lights in the basement (1977), and about her plans to produce her own album (Roberta Flack, released in 1978). Various recordings of songs are performed by Flack during the program such as "Killing me softly with his song" that won the 1973 Grammy Award for Record of the Year.
  2. Part 1 (30:00-44:00 minutes). John Ogle interviews Edwin Leather who talks about his book "The Vienna elephant" (1977) on a soldier-art detective for the Allies at the close of WWII who is now a distinguished art dealer in Vienna, and the search for Nazi loot that leads him to the dark side of Eastern Europe.
  3. Part 1 (44:57-60:45 minutes). Leida Snow interviews Tom Jackson who speaks about various problems related to structural unemployment, underemployment, and misemployment that he describes in his book "28 days to a better job."
  4. Part 2 (00-16:18 minutes). Leida Snow interviews American singer-songwriter Richie Havens due to his upcoming concerts on Long Island, New York. Various excerpts from Havens's recordings are played during the interview such as "Shalom, salam alaikum," written after watching Egyptian President Anwar El Sadat's visit to Jerusalem, that became a huge hit in Israel.
  5. Part 2 (21:45-36:50 minutes) John Ogle interviews Peter Tauber who talks about his novel "The last best hope" (Harcourt, 1978) on the political and social turbulence of the 1960's. The interview interspersed with excerpts from the recordings of The Beatles.
  6. Part 2 (37:50-53:20 minutes). Leida Snow interviews Gloria Steinem, American feminist, journalist, and social and political activist, who discusses various topics related to feminism and womens rights such as reproductive freedom of women, and a federal funding for abortions in the United States.
  7. Part 2 (53:23-63:27 minutes). Includes news, various radio commercials, and announcements of cultural events such as the upcoming concert of Angel, American glam and hard rock band; and others.
