Summary
  1. This documentary on various approaches to playing Shakespeare's Hamlet focues on a young actor rehearsing the role. As he works out his interpretation we are shown archival film clips of actors John Barrymore, Laurence Olivier, and Nicol Williamson playing Hamlet. Narrator John Gielgud, who played the role on stage, recites a speech from the play.
