Description
  1. 2 videodiscs (191 min.) : sound, color; 4 3/4 in. +
Summary
  1. A performance of John Neuemeier's ballet La dame aux camélias by the Paris Opera Ballet. Set to the music of Chopin, the ballet is based on the novel by Alexandre Dumas, which has also served as the source material for Verdi's La traviata and the 2001 film Moulin Rouge. The passionate tale of Marguerite Gauthier and Armand Duval unfolds through a drama-within-a-drama as they meet at the theatre during a performance of Manon Lescaut, and begin their romantic adventures in Paris.
