  1. "This edition ... is limited to 200 numbered copies for sale and 26 lettered copies hors de commerce. Of the edition for sale, the copies numbered 1 through 75 and lettered A through Z are included with Ape & Cat, an album of 18 photogravures by Jime Dine, in a box with a lead bas-relief on the lid of and "Ape and Cat" image by Dine. This book contains one of the photogravures by Dine from the Ape & Cat series. Intaglio printing was done at the R.E. Townsend Studio, Georgetown, Massachusetts, by Robert E. Townsend and Katharine Hanlon, from a plate made by Jenö Gindl, Berlin, and proofed by William Hall at Pace Editions, New York City. The book was designed and produced at the Arion Press under the direction of Andrew Hoyem with the assistance of Gerald Reddan, Eric Holub, Stephanie Dal Porto, Peggy Gotthold, Leif Erlandsson. The type, Times New Roman, was composed and cast in Monotype at Mackenzie & Harris by Peter Stoelzl and Lewis Mitchell. The paper is Biblio, a German mouldmade sheet.
