1. היומן שכתב הסופר לייב רוכמן בתקופת השואה ביידיש וטלטל את קוראיו בשפות שונות, רואה עתה אור לאחר עריכה מחודשת של התרגום העברי. לייב רוכמן (1978-1918) נולד במינסק מזובייצק שבפולין. בגיל חמש התייתם מאביו, וכשהיה כבן עשר עזב את ביתו וגדל בחצרו של הרבי מװץ4ֶֻ4ײוריסוב. לאחר שקיבל ׳סמיכה׳ לרבנות, ׳התפקר׳ כשהיה כבן שבע עשרה, והתחיל לכתוב בעיתונות היידיש בוורשה. את ״בדמייך חיי״ כתב בין השנים 1944-1943, כשהתחבא עם אישתו ועם כמה חברים בבתי איכרים. בשנת 1950 עלה ארצה, חי בירושלים, ועבד ב׳קול ישראל׳. עם השנים ראו אור ספריו בתרגום עברי: ״בצעדים סומים על פני האדמה״ (עם עובד 1976) ו״המבול״ (הקיבוץ המאוחד 1988)... בתו ובנו הם המשוררת רבקה מרים והכנר יהושע רוכמן. ־־ כריכה אחורית.
