- Gilberto Antonio Wilson, born in Aruba, Netherlands Antilles in 1954, is a Philadelphia-based photographer and printmaker active since the mid-1970s. Wilson is a graduate of both Cooper Union, New York City (1974-1978) and Temple University, Tyler School of Art, Philadelphia (1978-1980), receiving degrees in photography and printmaking. He has also taught photography and was an artist-in-residence at Philadelphia's Brandywine Graphic Workshop. Wilson's work consists of photo essays and mixed-media prints depicting Caribbean culture, as well as a series on storefront churches in the United States.
