Summary
  1. Documentary on Broadway theater, dating from its near-extinction in the early 1970s through its rebirth and spectacular success in the period since. Features excerpts from interviews with stage luminaries, directors, producers, and theater critics, as well as archival clips of many memorable productions. Also includes exclusive backstage footage covering the launch of a new play, Richard Bean's comedy The nap, which opened at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre in September 2018.
