Summary
A video recording of studio rehearsals of Embattled garden, the Cassandra solo from Clytemnestra, and Rite of spring. The focus for the first two run throughs appears to be acclimating Maxine Sherman to her new roles. There are large sections of studio time between the numbers, with set pieces being moved and conversations taking place. The camera is set up at the rear of the studio and faces Martha Graham across the room in front of the mirrors. The dancing captured by the camera is from the reflection in the mirror.
