- Not all kinds of print culture products have emerged at the same time or fulfilled the same functions. Likewise, print culture is not made up exclusively of texts, but has always been related to visual culture, insofar as most of the objects of the letterpress have made use of some kind of image. The reader will find in this book a dozen works in which their authors approach, in a multi and interdisciplinary way, different expressive modes of print and visual culture to analyze different material supports: books of travelers or artists, doctors and politicians accompanied of engravings; newspapers, photobooks, comics, primers or drawings; collections of books, illustrated books, literary magazines or best sellers of current issues.
