Summary
  1. Beautiful young Esther Liebman and her husband, Joseph, leave Russia in 1911 on a ship to America. Joseph dies at sea and Esther arrives in America pregnant, penniless and without family to help her. Famed Yiddish theater performer Celia Adler stars and is supported by the Yiddish Art Theater and the Vilna Troupe.
