- Aaron Copland is best known for such popular compositions as Appalachian Spring; Billy the Kid; and Rodeo. Together with Gershwin, Ives, and Bernstein, he created music that mirrored the world in which he lived and captured the very essence of American life. This documentary surveys his life and career with archive film and specially shot footage that includes an interview with the composer and several legendary performances of his works.
