- Summary
- "The only in-print American paperback edition of 'The great Gatsby'--reputedly the most widely taught American novel--has a flawed text. The current 2004 trade paperback edition bearing the Scribner imprint of Simon & Schuster was presumably set from the text of the 1925 Charles Scribner's Sons first printing, but it incorporates 39 substantive emendations from the Cambridge University Press (CUP) critical edition. It also introduces 57 substantive errors"--Unnumbered page 3.
