"Since 1984, Culture Clash has stormed the stages, bars, holding cells, churches, dives, whorehouses, safe houses, colleges and occasional synagogues, creating works that matter--hopefully--morphing and becoming theater artists with satirical fangs, but also artists with the ability to listen, record and steal. 2010 saw three world premieres--they write fast, in these speeded-up times--not chasing the culture, but also makig it. Their books of plays (published by TCG) were recently banned in Tucson high schools by the Arizona Attorney General--the case will be heard in the Federal 9th Circuit Court. Culture Clash continues its struggle and the struggle to give voice to those who now also find themselves targets of extreme laws and attitudes as old as the hills in Gold Country.
