  1. The life of French painter Paul Cézanne was quite different from that of his Mexican contemporary, landscape master Jose Maria Velasco. While Cézanne's art was severally criticized, Velasco's canvas were praised in Mexico and aboard. Although the parallels in their art work are interesting to examine: their unique beauty, character, and ideals. "We can appreciate the dialogue between Cézanne and Velasco's as we view their art in parallel and compare back and forth with delight each of their artistic creations."--P. 26.
