Summary
  1. This report is based on a visit to northern Somalia in February and March 1991 by a delegation of Physicians for Human Rights. The purpose was (1) to estimate the magnitude of the problem of mines and their medical consequences in Somaliland; (2) to assess the need for better acute and long-term care and rehabilitation of victims of mine blast injuries and (3) to determine what measures should be taken to avoid further land mine casualties.
