Summary
  1. This book describes an interdisciplinary research project in which computer programs were used to simulate and, in a sense, replace human problem solvers. The research had a dual: to learn more about how people solve complex learning problems and to observe the performance of different varieties of a general learning automaton designed to solve inductive problems which require some learning on the part of the problem solver.
