Summary
  1. In 1809 New Mexico, a missioner teaches two boys, Roberto and Carlos, how to carve saints for the local churches and they soon become sought after. When Roberto returns home and tells Carlos he didn't make the congregation pay for the statue of St. Christopher and Jesus, Carlos is upset until Roberto explains what happened that Christmas Eve.
