Presents cellist Yo-Yo Ma in artistic collaborations with Kabuki actor Tamasaburō Bandō (Suite no. 5), garden designer Julie Moir Messervy (Suite no. 1), choreographer Mark Morris (Suite no. 3), ice dancers Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean (Suite no. 6), and filmmaker Atom Egoyan (Suite no. 4), each involving one of Bach's six suites for unaccompanied cello. Also includes a 3-D animation of Giovanni Battista Piranesi's "carceri" (prison) etchings set to Suite no. 2.
