Summary
  1. The exhibition traces some of the uses of collage in British art from the influences of the Parisian avant-garde in the early work of Ben Nicholson and Surrealists Eileen Agar and Roland Penrose through to present day practitioners. All the works in the exhibition are drawn from the Arts Council Collection. Artists include: Eileen Agar, David Batchelor, Ian Breakwell, Marc Camille Chaimowicz, Steve Claydon, Richard Hamilton, Margaret Harrison, Susan Hiller, Idris Khan, Laurence Kavanagh, Linder, Ben Nicholson, Chris Ofili, Eduardo Paolozzi, Roland Penrose, Grayson Perry, Jo Spence, John Stezaker, Tony Swain and Mark Titchner.
