Summary
  1. Death, he rushes into Lammermoor Castle, stabs himself, and dies at Lucia's side.
  2. In 1669 in highland Scotland Lord Henry (Enrico) Ashton rules Lammermoor Castle and plans a marriage between his sister Lucia and Lord Arturo Bucklaw. Lucia is in love with Edgardo, master of Ravenswood Castle and arch enemy of the Ashton clan. Enrico deceives Lucia into thinking that Edgardo has been unfaithful to her. Disconsolate, Lucia consents to the marriage with Arturo, kills him in their wedding bed, and dies mad. When Edgardo hears of her.
