- Summary
- From 2006 to 2014, photographer Ronald Ansbach toured the city of São Paulo in search of spaces and places revealing the essence of the city. The Great Drought, consisting of 64 photographs, is a circular, imaginary perambulation through the city of São Paulo, assembled from juxtapositions that reveal a self-devouring city in constant mutation. According to the author, the title has a metaphorical sense: "the great drought is not just the drought of our water crisis -which also tell by images- but it's still the absence behind the abandonment of our public spaces, the denial of the city as collective locus", he says.
