Devonshire. [electronic resource] : To be Sold by Auction, On Tuesday the 21st Day of October next, At four O'Clock in the Afternoon, At the London Inn, Exeter, In one or two Lots, to be determined at the Sale, All that part of the Manor of Drewsteignton, commonly called the Holt lands; Together with the High Rents, Royalties, and Privileges belonging to the Whole Manor of Drewsteignton, And the Advowson, or perpetual right of Presentation (after the next Presentation) to the Rectory of Drewsteignton, which is esteemed one of the most valuable Rectories in the West of England, Pleasantly situated about Ten Miles West of the City of Exeter. The Glebe Land belonging and adjoining to the Parsonage, is upwards of Four Hundred and Fifty Acres. The Manor contains upwards of 700 Acres of Land, divided into small Farms, held by several Tenants for Terms, determinable on the Deaths of One, Two, and Three Lives. To be Sold, By Virtue of an Act of Parliament, in the Month of July 1797, if not previously disposed of by private Contract; in one or more Lots; at the Golden Lion in Northallerton; agreeable to Conditions of Sale. A Most desirable Freehold and Tythe Free Estate, situated at Yafforth, adjoining the road from Northallerton to Richmond, comprising Yafforth Hall and about 550 Acres of rich Arable, Meadow, and Pasture Land, with convenient and suitable Buildings thereon, in good repair, and now let to Mr. Robert Weatherill and Mr. Thomas Wilson, two very respectable Tenants, from Year to Year, who will shew the Premises. To be Sold, By survey, In separate lots, At the George Inn in Ilminster, On Thursday the 1st. day of November, 1787, At three O'Clock in the Afternoon, The following premises, (unless previously disposed of by private Contract, of which due notice will be given;) Lot 1st. A freehold estate in Ilminster aforesaid, Consisting of a handsome Dwelling-House (in which Mr. Marshall now resides,) with a Flower and Kitchen-Garden well stored with Fruit-Trees and remarkable for its pleasant and healthy situation; together with a Brew-House and two Cellars with Chambers over, Barn, Cyder Wring-House, Stable, Wood-House, &c. Likewise Five Acres and half of Orchard adjoining the Garden, the greater part of which is now in its prime; Six Acres and half of Pasture Ground, and Four Acres and half of Arable; all of which is quite contigious; with an unlimited right of Common. Lot 2nd. A freehold estate in Ilminster aforesaid Consisting of a good Dwelling-House and Garden, pleasantly situated, Stable and Woodhouse, together with Five Acres of Meadow Ground and One Acre of Orchard adjoining, and Two Acres and half of Arable, with an unlimited right of Common. Consisting of the Capital and Extensive manor of stow, In the Parish of Great samford; The manors of little samford and tewes, With courts baron, royalties, &c. stored with game; a mansion house, sundry Capital farms, a wind mill. The Fighting Cocks Inn, and several Messuages, Cottages, and Tenements, in the Parishes of Great and Little Samford, containing together about one thousand and eighty-nine acres, Of rich Arable, Meadow, Pasture, and Wood Lands, Situate about Four Miles from Thaxsted, and Seven from Sapron Walden, in the most Pleasant and Fertile Part of the county of essex, Part of which is in hand, and the Rest greatly underlet to responsible Tenants at will, viz. Edmond Turner, John Turner, James Cumberland Bentley, and Joseph Baggot, all of which, except Joseph Baggot, are Tenants at Will, at Annual Rents, amounting together to Four Hundred and Ninety-One Pounds and upwards, But capable of considerable Improvement. The perpetual advowson and right of presentation to the Vicarage of Sibton, with the Church or Chapel of Peasenhall, of the Annual Value of about £80. the present Incumbent aged about Forty Years.
